ABOUT DOCLA SCHOOL: Documentary Film Workshop for Peruvian filmmakers
Documentary training space (online) for Peruvian filmmakers from cities other than Lima, who are starting their path in documentary filmmaking, or who have the desire to do so.
DATE: February 2022.
The workshop will be free, online and theoretical, aimed at strengthening and exercising the audiovisual work of documentary film / video makers throughout Peru. In this workshop, fifteen filmmakers will be selected to expand their knowledge of documentary film during the month of February 2022.

Anais Taracena
Guatemala - Workshop Facilitator
Director and producer of documentaries with master's degree in Political Science. He has directed several short films that have been screened at international film festivals, universities, and communities. In Guatemala, she works as an audiovisual producer with organizations that defend human rights and as a cultural manager.
In 2019 she participates in the Berlinale Talents and the IDFA Academy School as an emerging director. "El silencio del mole", his first documentary feature film, premiered in international competition at the Hot Docs Festival 2021 and won the Tim Hetherington Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest 2021
John Francis Gonzalez
Chile - Workshop facilitator
Master in Documentary Film EICTV (Cuba). Co-founder of DOCLA (Network of Latin American Documentalists). In 2012 he became part of the documentary film collective MAFI (Film Map of a Country), contributing a large number of documentary pieces to the site mafi.tv and participating as a director of the collective documentary films «PROPAGANDA» (2014) and «DIOS » (2019).
In 2019 he received a scholarship to carry out a Documentary Filmmaking Practice at the French school Ateliers Varan, where he made the short film "Maria K" presented during the Cinéma du Réel festival, obtaining the "Première Fenêtre" Audience Award and a Special Mention. of the FIDOCS Jury (2020). That same year he was selected to participate in the "Guadalajara Talents" at the Guadalajara Film Festival (Mexico) and to do a screenwriting residency at the Moulin d'Andé (France). The year 2021 is selected in "Talents Buenos Aires" of the BAFICI festival (Argentina) and "Basecamp" of the Locarno Festival (Switzerland).

Diego Sarmiento's first documentary feature film as director and producer, “RíoVerde. The Time of the Yakurunas”, premiered at the 67th Berlin Film Festival and MoMA Doc Fortnight 2018.
“Sembradoras de Vida” (2019), her second documentary, premiered at the 69th Berlin Film Festival. In 2020, he won the Berlinale Talents Footprints - Mastercard Enablement Program award, with Wim Wenders as president of the jury, with the "Seeds Project" where he will take the film "Sembradoras de Vida" to rural communities in the Peruvian Andes.
Diego studied Audiovisual Communication at the Catholic University of Peru and a master's degree in documentary film at EICTV in Cuba.
Alexandra Pianelli

Alexandra Pianelli graduated from the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. As an artist, she is interested in working with the notions of work and play, she loves working with her hands and sees herself as a versatile and resilient person, she says that if she were an object, she would be a Swiss Army knife. His job is based on reaching out to others. To pay attention to the person next to you and the one you hadn't noticed before.
The year 2020 premieres the documentary "Le Kiosque", selected by different European festivals such as Sheffield Doc/Fest, Doc Lisboa, DocsBarcelona, Champs Élysées FF, EGD Lussas.
His approach to documentary film is one in which reality mixes with fiction and tries, in the form of a game, to bring together different dimensions of reality that are usually different from each other. For several years now he has been making films about his day jobs. These documentaries, in which we see her work, allow her to be creative as an artist while making a living.
Claire Allouche

Claire Allouche grew up in Saint-Denis, a few steps from the Écran cinema.
He is doing his doctoral research at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis under the supervision of Dork Zabunyan and Thierry Roche. His thesis focuses on the birth of peripheral places in contemporary Argentine and Brazilian fiction cinema (2008-2019).
In this sense, since 2018 he co-organizes with Ignacio Albornoz Fariña, Leslie Cassagne, Célia Jésupret and Baptiste Mongis the seminar "Thinking contemporary creation in the Southern Cone", whose project is to dialogue with contemporary South American artists by returning precisely to their creative process. Filmmakers Mariano Llinás, Marco Dutra, Caetano Gottardo and Juan Francisco González, among others, have already participated.
Previously he trained in film studies in the preparatory class of Ciné-Sup at the Liceo Guist'Hau de Nantes, then at the Department of History and Theory of the Arts of the ENS Ulm, at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis and at UNSAM in Argentina. He also has a master's degree in "Territories, Spaces and Societies" from the EHESS, specializing in anthropology.
He has been a member of the editorial board of Cahiers du Cinéma since issue 766 was published in June 2020. Before that, he occasionally collaborated on Débordements, Trafic, Répliques, La Revue Documentaires and CinétrENS magazines, alternating writing texts with conducting interviews to filmmakers and collaborators.
He has also been an assistant editor for some independent films (Trois contes de Borges (2014) by Maxime Martinot, Edgar Morin, chronique d'un regard (2014) by Céline Gailleurd and Olivier Bohler) and has worked on the programming of the Festival des 3 Continents of Nantes in 2016 and 2017.
